APEX delay?

Hello. I’ve been playing Apex for three years, but after taking a break of about two months, I downloaded and tried to play it again, only to find it stuttering severely and becoming unplayable. Task Manager shows 0% GPU usage, even though I’ve already configured the Windows settings to use the graphics card.

Hey l1ues,

If it's looking like that in the menu, I imagine that it makes playing extremely difficult alright. We have an article around crashing and freezing that has some good steps that might help combat this, as well as an article with some graphical troubleshooting steps. Hopefully they'll help solve your problem.

I tried the clean boot method from the first link, and it seems to have fixed the issue immediately. Thanks for the quick response.

Glad to hear it! That makes it sound like there's a background program that's causing you troubles. I'd keep an eye out for what specifically is causing the lag, and then uninstalling it (assuming you don't need it for anything else). 🙂
