Forum Discussion
@EthikBTWImma just copy and paste my Reddit post here. In case anyone comes across this in the future:

To preface, I just upgraded my PC to a new Processor (and motherboard). I'm on a fresh install of Windows 10 Home, all of my drivers are updated (Chipset, Nvidia, LAN, Newest BIOS) and there is no overclock on either my GPU or CPU.
System Specs: Ryzen 5 5600X Gigabyte Eagle OC 3060ti Asus Strix B550-F 16 GB of 3600 RAM
As the title says, the first game I installed in my computer was Apex. I was excited (literally my favorite game) since I had upgraded my CPU from a 1500X, so I couldn't wait to play. I download, and wait for everything to download via origin. It opens up, I get the opening cut scene, and the menu with the "Mouse click to start". I click, and the computer shuts off, automatically reboots, and kicks me back into Windows like nothing has happened. Not blue screen, no error message.
I have tried the following and without luck: 1. Uninstalled and reinstalled, Origin, Steam, and their respective copy of Apex. 2. Uninstalled and reinstalled all versions of VS C++ Redistributables (specifically, 2010, 2013 and 2015). 3. Repaired the game in Origin. 4. Tested my hardware to make sure none of it was Faulty (Ran Cinebench for a total of 30 minutes, got to play Cyberpunk 2077 for 30 minutes with out an issue, passes 3d Mark Time Spy without issues).
Apparently, I am not the only one to have this as well. It seems like there is an issue with my processor, as the forum posts that I've found such as this EA Forum appear to have the same thing in common. Not sure if it is processor specific, but I think I may have found a potential solutions below, which inconvenient.
Potential temporary fix that may have worked: My desperateness lead me to this solution: I decided to delete all copies of the VS C++ Redistributables that are on my computer, including the ones that Apex uses. Then, I reinstalled them directly by running the files at the very bottom of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin". This works and I am able to play Apex with out a problem.
The issue with this solution is that, it is inconvenient. Other programs either automatically update the versions of the Redistributables that Apex uses when starting, or downloads new one when I first install the program. Other programs use other versions, and if I have to delete all other copies of it (2008 or 2012 for example) then I cannot use that program, making my Computer an Apex only PC.
I'm posting this here, hopefully all of you can help me either get this to one of the devs as soon as possible, or just in case someone else runs into this issue and desperately needs to play Apex while we wait for an official fix. I really appreciate it if you took the time to read all of this, It gave me a headache trying to figure out what is wrong with my computer for the past day. I just hope this gets resolved because I would like to play Season 8 with out a problem.
Edit: For my motherboard, I looked up and it turns out there was another newer bios burried in the website. Updated bios and fixed my issue as well. Really weird bug, but it worked. Been laying for a week now and no problems.

@kingscameyYo what's up. The latest BIOS that worked for me was 1202. Check it out in this website: https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-model/helpdesk_bios
Click on "See All Downloads" button and you will see it there. Id suggest stay away from Beta BIOS as those can sometimes be unreliable. As long as it doesn't say beta you should be good. GL man, Definitly a weird bug that made me rage for about a day straight since this is literally the only game I play extensively.
My board came with 1004, just for some context. If you don't know how to update your BIOS, look up "How to update / flash your UEFI BIOS On ASUS motherboards" and Asus North America updates a guide on how to do it two different ways. I used the download to USB stick method (last one on the video). LMK if you have any other trouble.
Edit: Here is YT Link for the video I followed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scK8AP8ZACc- 5 years ago
I can't thank you enough. I looked everywhere for a solution and tried anything I came across. Updating the BIOS worked. I've had zero issues since. (I have a Ryzen 7 5800x and Asus B-550 Mobo)
- 5 years ago@LeEddy101 I'm a real noob when it comes to computers, i know i have the same setup and even checked the bios it says 1004. Facing the same issue. Can you help me out? im * scared to do to any changes with my computer.

@eXcalibur69420You can update your BIOS in a lot of way, but personally I think going the USB way is the easiest. You need a USB stick (preferably empty, just to make file navigating easy).
Go to https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-model/helpdesk_bios , get the newest non-beta BIOS (Currently version 2006), unzip the download and copy the two files from the unzipped download into your flash drive.
Then, power off computer, turn it back on with the flash drive inserted. While its booting up, spam the "Del" key on your keyboard. This will allow you to get to your BIOS. Keep spamming it until you see the BIOS screen.
Once you are in the BIOS, head over to the "Tools" tab with either your mouse or keyboard arrows. Once you are under "Tools", you will see an option called "EZ Flash 3". Go ahead and click enter there.
A menu will pop up asking you to select your storage device. Depending on how many drives you have, this could look a little complicated. But the menu on the left will show the size of each drive in MB. Hover over who's size resembles most your flash drive, and on the right of the menu you will see all of the directories/ files in that drive. Remember how I told you to just put the downloaded files? Well, if you hover over to your flash drive, you will see the name of the file we just downloaded, and since its the only file in the drive, it has to be that one. Plus, it says "asus 2006 bios" and some other keywords.
Once you found it, select it and another window will pop up asking you confirm the install. Just make sure the date is correct for the bios update (march 2021 for version 2006) and as well as the bios version you want to update. Click confirm, and it will update your Bios within 5 minutes or so.
MAKE SURE TO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER DURING A BIOS UPDATE. Powering it off during the update, can and usually does brick your motherboard. If you don't have warranty, you would have to buy a new one.
After updates, it should say update complete, then it restarts your computer again. Before it boots into window, you may get another screen prompt saying you need to set up your BIOS, if that's the case just go into BIOS and exit it. After that, you will boot into windows with out a problem and your issue with Apex should be fixes.
If you ever get lost, or want a reference as to what I'm talking about, watch this video from the 3:00 minute mark until the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scK8AP8ZACcNote, that this video is for a b450 motherboard, but the general steps are the same.
