Apex fps drop issue

I love the apex legend but there are some issues in games

when I play game, firstly fps is OK have 60-80 fps , but probably 10 minutes later, the fps will suddenly drop to 30, seems like lock on 30 fps, but the game data monitor( top right corner) show the fps is normal.

but my GPU and CPU core frequency and memory was not drop . the pic 1 is before droped, pic 2 is after droped.

and I find the issues maybe relate with PING, normally my PING is 50-70, but when ping is high such as 100, game will emergy the fps drop issues

my graphic car driver is latest version (471.41) and my RAM is 16G (8G*2 ), I try everthing possible solutions but all methods has no effect.

  • @EA_Kent Thanks for your reply!

I was solved this issue today.

I reinstall the Apex application and use the 4:3 stretch resolution, the issue never happened.

And I played one match by 16:9 the issue also not happening.

So I think the issue perhaps result from the game application files.

    Hi @DumbGrouding

Have you been watching your hardware temperatures while Apex Legends is running? Do they look pretty normal?

  • Yes, temporaries just 60℃
I find this issue is result from nvidia driver, last day I was install the old version of driver, then the issue was be solved

but today, after I reboot my computer ,the issue is reappear

  • @EA_Kent

YES, and I have a new finding: no matter what version of driver, if I reinstall the driver, then the issues can be resolved, but after restart the computer, the issues happening again.

I was tried  the driver version have : 460.89, 461.09 and latest two version 471.41, 471.68

so that's mean if I want play Apex fluently, I have to reinstall the driver before I open the game😞

    @DumbGrouding

    I see, thank you!

Have you checked to see if there are any updates available for your CPU or BIOS? I've seen some cases where that can also make a difference with FPS drops. If you're able to give that a try please let me know if it keeps happening afterward. Thanks again!
