Apex freeze/crash after a few seconds after today's update

Hello,

after today's update the game freezes and crashes a few seconds after starting. A few hours before I could play without issues.

I don't even have to do anything and it freezes/crashes just sitting in start screen.

Steam version.

What I tried:

-restarted PC

-verified game files

-disable steam overlay

-removed launch options

-closed MSI Afterburner (because of Rivatuner overlay)

Main PC specs:

CPU Ryzen 7800x3d

GPU RTX 3080ti

32GB RAM

Edit:

Also tried enabling the graphics settings as mentioned in another thread from a few months ago:

"

Sun Shadow Detail - > High
Sun Shadow Coverage - > High
Spot Shadow Detail - > High
Dynamic Spot Shadows - > Enabled.

"

And deleting Apex folder in "C:\Users\[Username]\Saved Games\Respawn".

Updated graphics driver too.

Still no difference, still crashes...

    Hey everyone,

This should be resolved, thanks again for the patience.

Please give it another try next time you have a chance to hop back in-game and let us know if you're still seeing an issue.

    I reinstalled everything,

even formatted my whole drive, and installed windows 11 insted of 10.

i updated all drivers, from asus support, and checked for firmware.

    Nothing works.

Its just an endless loops of BSOD.

DO NOT TELL ME TO DO THE sfc /scannow.
Becus i already did that. And nothing need to be reparied.

    Just fix it already.
I'm a fairly new twitch streamer, and this * is starting to * me off and makes me hate this game..

  • @EA_Mako Thank you very much! I can also confirm that after the small patch deployed last, no more crashing on Steam version of Apex Legends 🙂

    Thanks for the confirmation all!

Since this has been resolved we'll be locking the thread here to avoid any confusion with separate issues that may occur, thanks!

  • Just come to update the situation.

Today, without any new Apex update, without any new Steam update, without any new Windows update.

The game suddenly can play again.

So, it seem have some factor we don't know about this issue that seem related from the server side.
