Apex Legends - In Game, White Dot In Middle of Screen, And Mouse Does Not Work.

I am having an issue that when I am in the in game main menus, settings menu, or character selection, my mouse acts and responds fine. When the game loads, and I am finally in game, a white dot shows on the screen right in the middle, and a cursor arrow is present. The cursor is stuck to where the white dot is facing, so I have no control to look around. My keyboard (WASD) works just fine, so I can move freely, but due to the white dot, I am stuck facing in just the one orientation. No ability to look around. I have mashed every key to hopefully turn off to no success.

I have repaired the game, performed a clean boot, uninstalled Apex, re-installed, uninstalled Origin and re-installed as Admin, and re-installed Apex, plus reset ALL settings to default.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • Hello guys! I was having the same issue but managed to fix it. Any chance you have the Discord overlay on? If so, turn it off and restart the game. That worked for me. Let me know if that helps!

As @OrbitalNexuss suggested, try disabling the Origin in game overlay as well as Discord's overlay.

We've seen some users report this caused by Nvidia's ShadowPlay as well.
