I can't prove it (yet) but I believe some of those cases are cheat related.

You might have noticed that some enemies despite appearing normal are basically impossible to hit - you spam them but bullets just somehow miss, while on others doing the same even within same game just connect and you beam people. Enter the world of lag-switching and similar cheats that basically de-synchronize client and server making server actually lie to you regarding position of the enemy.

And what I have seen in many cases (I record my games and do at least weekly if not daily vod reviews) is that such people or people who clearly cheat (wallhacks, aimbots) usually kill me without making sound as well, sneaking behind me in perfect timing (wallhack for sure helps but I would / should still hear them, but I don't).

Otherwise my sound is above average: I use good IEMs + I have heavily fine-tuned sound equalizers resulting in above average sound clarity which many of my 3stacks has complemented on (me hearing and calling out enemies others don't hear, not to mention my sound vs default settings).

So time to time I dig into cheaters forums, discords, nothing clear on the topic besides lag introduction. But I still think sooner or later something related to that will surface.

This have to do something with your game settings, I think vram issues I had this, but managed to fix it with settings ingame
