Apex legends account merge failed

I recently merged my playstation and xbox accounts together but after being prompted I merged them and my lower level account which was the xbox has now become the main account and I have lost all of my playstation items skins,heirloom,badges etc. I know that stats aren't transferred which I don't care much for but it's like my playstation account has disappeared. My playstation account was the higher level and had been active for over a year but now my xbox is shown as the main account on both systems with no trace of any item on the playstation account. I've tried restarting my game and console many times but nothing has worked. I'd like to know if there's any way I can fix this problem or if anyone else is having it.
