Is there memory handling error or something in EasyAntiCheat?
After running my memory dump through WinDbg, I found that EasyAntiCheat is causing the problem on my computer too. I guess the next step is to check other threads that have been talking about easyanticheat blue screening systems, as I did see a few of those, but I did not think they were relevant to me at the time.
- 4 years ago@DAwesme I have same think bsod again...
Now at this time the bsod triggered by something in the middle of the fight.. After the gas trap explosion..
It's happens randomly- 4 years ago
OP and anyone else affected by this: I would like you to try this out. Kudos to someone from a Reddit post who had the same issue:
https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/usap9z/page_fault_in_nonpaged_area/i9fh6mc/
To give EasyAntiCheat admin permissions:
1. Locate game files
1a. If you downloaded Apex Legends from Steam, right-click on "Apex Legends" from the Library > click "Manage" > click "Browse local files"1b. If you downloaded Apex Legends from Origin, open the Origin launcher, click on "Origin" on the top left > click "Application Settings" > "Installs & Saves" > copy the directory shown in the "Game library location" > locate "Apex"2. There should be a file named "EasyAntiCheat_launcher.exe", right-click that file and click on "Properties". On that window, click on "Compatibility" > click "Run this program as an administrator" > click "Apply"
3. To be really really sure, I also gave admin permissions to the "EasyAntiCheat.exe" file located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat"
To turn off game launcher overlay:
Steam: Click on "Steam" on the top left > click "Settings" > click "In-Game" > uncheck "Enable Steam overlay while in-game" > click "Ok"Origin: Click on "Origin" on the top left > click "Application Settings" > "Origin In-Game" > disable "Enable Origin In-Game"
Hope this helps 🙂 Seems to be doing the trick for me at the moment, haven't had a BSOD ever since I did this.edit: crossed out Origin because an Origin player two replies below this tried this out and said it didn't work for them
