Going to keep bumping until this is fixed. Ridiculous that RTX users can't play properly.
The latest driver and previous driver (417.71) didn't work for me.
Just installed 417.35 to try that. playing some games now. will update shortly
nvidia added to current bug list:

probably hot-fix incoming in 2-3 Days
Have tried 417.71 and 417.35 as well as up to date drivers, still nothing. Crashing within 3 minutes of a game starting.
And i have this problem 0x887A0006 DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. You CPU is FX?
The new drivers from Nvidia do fix this issue. I gave the latest drivers clean installed and I still get the same crash. Please fix.

UPDATE: 417.35 still crashes the game without error for me. I've now tried resetting the OC on my gpu.. standby
UPDATE: still crashing. Waiting for nvidia now.
- Exactly this problem with 418.81 driver with my EVGA RTX2080 xc and my G-sync monitor AW2518H running at 200hz in long games 3rd to 4th round my graphics are mostly ultra. It did not happen to me with the last driver.
0x887A0006 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
I'm also experiencing the same hung error, but I am using a Radeon R9 290, so this is NOT just an Nvidia issue.
