Apex Legends Crashes When Trying to Open Friends List and Invite Friends

I recently started playing Apex Legends through Steam, and I cannot open my friends list or click on "Invite Friends" without my game crashing. As soon as I click on either of those options, my game instantly crashes no matter what. I cannot invite friends to my lobby because of this.

    @MisterReeeee Hey wanted to update, an update for Apex went out yesterday meant to address a few issues. Can you confirm if this is still going on?

    @EA_Illium Hi Illium, sorry for spamming across a couple of topics. I am experiencing each of the issues I'm commenting on.

    I have raised this issue with EA Support, but was only advised "a root issue has been found and we are working on it"

    This issue only began since the recent Jan5th Update/event.

    I have verified files.
    Clean booted
    Disabled all overlays and closed extra applications
    Reverted to previous drivers
    Updated all drivers and windows update

    Is there any ETA? 24hours?
    A few days? Or is it still unknown.

    If you mean verify integrity of game files, I tried that and it does not work.

    This issue seems to be affecting a lot of people with no current work-arounds.

    @MisterReeeee We are still different reports of issues, we have shared them with our team and they are being investigated, however, there is not an eta to share I can update this thread once one is out to confirm if the issue are still happening.

    I have the same issue and it started happening half way through my session tonight and continues to happen.

    I'd recommend making a new thread for your issue.

    This thread is well over a year old and could be caused by a whole different thing, so to avoid confusion I'd recommend to make your own thread.
