Try DDU'ing and rolling back to 397.93 driver. I'm using a 1080ftw, 3570k, 16gb ram.. on the two newest geforce drivers (417.71, 418.81) I was crashing mid match about half the time. Rolled back to 397.93 and I haven't crashed in the last 5 games... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Did you ever crash again. After rolling back the drivers.

Yeah, it has started crashing again. It was golden for awhile though so I dunno. It seems like a mem leak. I've even gone insofar as to dial my settings back to outrageously low and it's no help. There is also no rhyme or reason to it. It's not like "I was doing x and y happened"
One time I was just running, another time I was skydiving, another time I was in a gunfight, etc etc. I have also wondered if it isn't something to do with audio drivers. I use an external dac that requires 2 drivers (one usb and one audio) as well as asio drivers so that could be it as well. I'm going to try disconnecting the dac and using onboard later, and seeing if it makes a difference. Also going to backpedal on my driver recommendation for now. It's not going to hurt to try rolling it back, but if you play a lot of VR you're really only going to cause instability with the vast majority of steam vr games.
I sure hope the devs are open and honest about this and look into some fixes soon because there are a lot of people with this issue, and even more that simply cannot connect... would be a shame for this game to die a fast death on instability. It's too cool.
RECOMMENDATION: Maybe implement a bug submission option.

This worked for me, specifically rolled back to the previous version Windows had, which was Jan 11 for GTX 1060 6GB.

I had suspicions that Origin was interfering with the game in some way, so far no crashes...I will continue to play through the night and see if this solved the issue: Disabling any FPS overlay counters (which I had opted to turn on Origin's) that was suggested by someone else. Also, noticed that in Windows Defenders Firewall exceptions Origin wasn't added during install so I added it and enabled the private & public boxes. Also, noticed that there was an unchecked box for Apex Legends enabled that too. My next step will involve disabling Origin's integrated services(Launcher>Origin Tab>Application Settings>More>Orgin-In Game: you can disable this and the FPS counter over lay in Origin's launcher window

I lowered the power limit in MSI afterburner by 25%, played for 3 hours without crashing. Worth a try if you're dying to play.
