Can't send Gifts

So I've done everything that was listed as requirements for gifting and have made sure the receiving party has done the same, but I STILL cannot see them listed as one of my EA friends in the gifting list (despite it showing that we are EA friends when I view their profile and it gives the "Remove EA friend option). Also we are both on Playstation (4 and 5) so there shouldn't be any "cross platform" issues with connectivity.

From the looks of it this has been an issue a lot of people run into, so to whom it may concern, I'm hoping I can get this resolved quickly or I want a refund for the money spent on coins!
