FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT STILL HAVE PROBLEMS:
Try these solutions ONE AT A TIME and plz report back if any of them helped you.
For me it was 1, 2, 3 that worked.
1. Uninstall OBS Studio and Streamlabs and any similar streaming software. (Yes even if you don't use it)
2. Run Borderless windows
3. Use Nvidia driver 417.35
4. AMD user activate Chill in Catalyst and cap frames at 80
5. Try DISABLING ALL Notifications in Origin, yes all of them + disable Origin in game (Application Settings/Origin In-Game)
AND Right Click Apex Legends in Origin and select Game Properties and deselect "Enable Origin In Game for Apex Legends"
6. If that doesn't work, MAKE A NEW WINDOWS PROFILE and try the game from the new profile, but FIRST disable Origin in game + all notifications (you have to do this for each account in windows) + the other thing mentioned above.
7. Update you soundcard drivers
I've now played 50+ games with no crashes.
(I have both cpu+gpu overclocked, I'm running Discord with H/W acceleration, watching Twitch at the same time etc. no crashes.)

Ofc. I don't think this will work for everyone, but it has at least helped 6-7 ppl already here on the forums since yesterday.
Since it was OBS Studio that had to be removed for me, it might be a codec/sound card related problem.
Maybe try playing with soundcard disabled and/or upgrade your drivers to your soundcard just to troubleshoot.
Anyway Good luck!

I was crashing once every other game after the patch earlier today, but I did 5, then 4 on this list and it still crashed. Then I did borderless window mode and I haven't had a crash in over 2 hours. I've had one 5-second freeze on the dropship but that's it so far.

It seems like it has a lot to do with programs so the new windows account should be a potential solution over there , my personal experience was the lower fps the lower chance of crashing.I5 6500

CPU: i5-6600
GPU: Radeon RX 580 8GB
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 10
Patch: 1.03
With this setup im getting crashes every or every other game with no error, tried all the recent "fixes"(new/old drivers, reg fix, settings fix, compability fix, reinstall in different location, uninstall audio/video programs, overlay fix).
Changing GPU to my old Geforce 1050ti makes the game not crash anymore.
When reading about the problem, most ppl that are affected seem to have AMD CPU/GPU or Geforce 1080 or better.
My test has been setup this way:
1. Game crashing almost every game for several days with RX 580.
2. Swap GPU to 1050ti, no crash for 24h of playing.
3. Apex Legends patched to 1.03.
4. Swap back to RX 580, getting crash almost every game again.
5. Swap to 1050ti again, no crash for 24h of playing.
Test result is clear, swap out AMD hardware.
