Apex Legends does not pass past Easy AntiCheat after upgrading to Windows 11

Hi everyone! I have updated recently my OS to Windows 11 from Windows 10 and at first, after I launch the game, I was getting an error message that 'ResampleDmo.dll' was missing. I tried 'sfc /scannow', 'dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth' and they did not help. Then, I installed the .dll file manually by downloading it and putting it into System32 folder. After launching the game again, i began receiving another error: "r5apex.exe - Application Error. The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)" and also a warning that Easy AntiCheat has found an untrusted file 'System32/ResampleDmo.dll'.

What I have already tried:

  • Repairing/reinstalling EAC
  • Verifying game files
  • Running EAC/r5apex with administrator privilages
  • Running r5apex in a compatability mode with Windows 8 and disabling full-screen optimizations
  • Verifying game files via Steam
  • Turning off Windows Firewall
  • Reinstalling the game
  • Cleaning temporary Windows files
  • Running apex from a clean boot

Also have to mention that i don't have any Antiviruses installed. Graphical drivers are all up-to-date.

I would be grateful for any help. Thanks a lot in advance.

Update: I have deleted Certificates folder in EAC folder and the game started to launch but with another error 'Engine Error: EAC index not found'. I renamed 'r5apex.exe' file to 'EasyAntiCheat_launcher.exe' and the game launched fine, but as expected, I cannot load to the match because EAC was not launched. Maybe this will help to locate the problem.

  • So what helped for me is asking my friend, who also has Windows 11, for his ResampleDmo.dll file and pasting it to System32 folder. Which is strange because I have downloaded the .dll from the trusted resorce (dll-files.com). But hey - if it works, it works. Hope this may help someone
