Apex legends error reading pak file

Hi there. I am on xbox one and I just started getting an error message upon starting apex legends up. I get to the main menu, press A to continue and once i am in the lobby an error message appears after a few seconds which reads: error reading pak file"R:Vassests/mini_promo/dl_mini_2020_02_10a.rpak". I have tried restarting the game and my xbox multiple times with no success in eradicating the issue. How can i go about resolving this? Thanks

Hi @Gdwga.

Let's see if we can help fix that here. First, do you have the game installed on an external hard drive? If so, can you try moving it to your console's internal drive to see if that helps?

I've also seen cases where reinstalling the game can help with errors like this. There might be something missing or corrupted in the game data, so a reinstall may help.

@EA_Kent then ew patch seems to have sorted it out, i manage to play the game on my first launch of the game. i had the pak fil short read error, i also had the 0x00000026 error. i tried the way you explained, removing the file or rename it, repair game and launch.. i did everything i saw on the net, nothing did it .. hopefully this is complety out of the picture now ... thx for the quick answear tho

So I’m getting the same thing except I’m on Ps5 how do I fix it on there?

On Xbox one you need to go to manage game and ad-ons, then delete the reserving space and launch the game this helped me with the same problem on the 01/07/2021 update
