So the problem is that when i play World Edge map especially in buildings i get fps drops from 144fps to 110-110 and also 90 fps when this happens i get screen tearing and huge input lag my mouse becomes very floaty like sliding on ice and i cannot aim its IMPOSSIBLE!!! Even when there is stable 144fps in buildings i get this floaty mouse feeling and screen tearing. I play this game only with -fullscreen and -freq 144 launch commands because the game is already capped at 144hz and when i uncap it gets even worse the screen tearing is kicking in..Ive also tried using GSYNC + Vsync +141 fps cap using riva tuner but i get even more input lag. I just want to play this game smoothly without screen tearing and input lag. Please Help!!!

Amd gpu doesn't like rtss. Scanline sync is really strange in this game. Capping frame rate not correctly. If I play with 120hz, capping 120fps auto buuut, I'm getting worse fps drop than radeon chill. My fps is going down to " 60" with high-end gpu at low settings. And when my fps below 120, getting stutters hard. I don't have kind of weird fps drops with freesync. But this game is not optimized. I tried everything even with nvidia gpu. No way dude.. You can't play this game smooth stable. I'm sure and read discussions about Rtss! It's not good option for amd gpu and for this game. I have not any problems with another games. Apex legends is just broken. Even g-sync and freesync technology can't handle this game. It's because of ea games. You can see a lot of new topics about dat on reddit. Btw Amd is also broken too. That's another question.

What you need is RTSS. Use scanline sync, disable all gsync/vsync stuff, dont cap frames.

I have the same problem, this game is pathetic, been playing since the beginning, but the performance getting worse and worse every season... I have a 5700xt, and literally tried every solution I could find on the internet.. guess we have to pray and wait for season 6 to kick in, and hope they'll solve the performance issues

I think if they return this game for season 1 it will be a lot more fun!
it's having a lot of problems i have an i5 7500 and in the game lobby it's 50% usage, in game when start ship gets 100% cpu usage! it didn't happen!

@AXiONMAMBAAAUp up up! I hope moderators can read this post, I hope they have kind of reading skills. Solutions are totally trash here! Even freesync and g-sync can't fix this problem. I bought 3600mhz for this game, and I'm still getting fps drops around buildings. Especially world's edge map has horrible refresh rate! Even G-SYNC can't help this poor optimized game for sure! Capitol City is terrible.. I never jump there. I'm getting insane fps drop with my high-end build!! Make sure not optimized, lagging and microstuttering hard. I really cannot believe this. I just stopped play this game with my friends. This is the best solution for you. Let their game die soon. I bet moderators will be afk again. Don't send any reports or request to ea games. Nice work ! GG!

No, that's not correct. I have a Vega56 and a 5700xt in separate systems (2070s as well) that run with rtss without any problems and super smooth. If you have a Gsync/Freesync screen go with cap in RTSS, if you don't have Gsync/Freesnyc go with Scanlinesync.

Yeah about scanline sync, I love it. Titanfall 2, which is probably the same if not a very similar engine, doesn't like when I use the scansync option. Well it does, but if I set the scanline sync setting in RTSS to anything but 0, the game fps is capped at 60 regardless if I set a framerate limit in RTSS. The tear line does move up towards the top of the screen but it still visible, but the game feels smooth. I want to run the game at 120fps because the mouse response is much better than at 60fps.
