What happens if you try launching the game with a different Admin User account in Windows? If you need more information on how to create a new Admin User check out the Microsoft Support website.
Once you have a new account try launching Apex Legends again and see if you're running into the same issues. Let me know how it goes when you can.

- 5 years ago@EA_Kent yeah no improvement same problem. Also if I log out of one account and move to another the system process continues its previous behaviour of drawing high power.
No improvement even after the update. please help.
- 5 years ago@silverspike230 I was at origin. Today the problem is happening again in steam
- 5 years ago
I'm still facing it on origin. Even after the update for the new event.

Thanks for the updates!
I saw someone mention they tested this on a different PC on the same account and were able to replicate the same issue. That got me wondering, does this happen with other accounts, or is it specific to one in particular?
If it's possible to try logging into Apex Legends with a different account can you give that a try and see if the same thing is still happening?/Kent
- 5 years ago@EA_Kent i tried it on my PC with 3 of my friends accounts, same results
- 5 years ago@EA_Kent Maybe it has to be with something with the account registered in EAC? ☹️ Never had that problem since two weeks by now, i've made another account to play with my girlfriend and still the same problem so, i dont know if it is an account topic.. Maybe EAC is banning some hardware?

This issue happened right after the anniversary collection event ended. I assume the small 11-20mb patch that triggered the anniversary event off was the cause of this. Prior to that there was no issue.

@EA_Kent Please hurry, its causing a lot of worry every time i want to play.
- 5 years ago@EA_Kent If I restart Origin, the "Play" option is lit and I am able click it. However, Easy AntiCheat starts up and then I get an error message:
"Launch Error: CreateFile failed with 32." - 5 years ago
the system continues to draw high power. its definately issue related to EAC.

Interesting info, thanks! Do you currently have Valorant installed on your PC, by chance? I've heard of some cases where Vanguard, the anti-cheat for that game, and EAC might not play nice together. I'm curious if that might be happening here as well.

I've passed this along for a look, but unfortunately I don't have any updates to share at the moment. If I do hear anything back I'll let you know.

i try this solution provided by an user and works !!!!
I had the same problem, but I copied all the files that are inside the EasyAntiCheat folder where the game is installed and pasted the files into Program Files (x86)> EasyAntiCheat. It worked for me.
thanks to gabrielviol0
EDIT: sorry the bug comes back....
