Sometimes, either mid game or in lobby, the game will just completely close on its own. No error message, nothing. Game just freezes for a second or two and then boots me directly to the desktop. All of my settings are pretty low and my VRAM is only at 2GB (some people suggested turning that down to help) and I play in fullscreen. Is there anything else I can really do to stop this from happening?
Bump! This is also happening to me.
Literally, 80% of my games 1 in my team crashes, if it isn't me its one of my friends, I have lost so many games unfair cause of this, without crashes I would probably have 20 more wins than I have. (I am a decent to a bit over a decent player that tryhard a lot so crashing makes us all rage, losing in an unfair way is so pathetic). If you can't fix crashes just fix a rejoin button like every other game. Simple solution.
This has been happening to me since yesterday so I have downloaded the game again from Origin to see if that fixes the issue because without any error/warning, how can one know whats the reason behind these random crashes. ☹️
If you read the Technical forums your not the only ones having these issues there are so many pages open about this issue but yet there is still no answer or solution for the fix just band-aids to put on your broken leg. I highly doubt this will be fix any time soon its been happening for about a month for me yet. none of the guides work. Its Apex issue but yet they cant fix it typical of them. Its like asking Bethesda to make a game that's not buggy. Highly doubt it will happen.
"typical of them" never played a respawn game they have been working on bug fixes nonstop without even taking the game down. this aint ea m8 get yo * outa here u dont have a clue what its like being a software engineer or working with the source engine. it has and always will be glitchy thats not to the fault of respawn thats just apart of the engine. as for the crash its most likely due to poor compiling and optimization + the fat memory leak issues this game is currently having which are by no way easy to fix. i had the crash issue for the first time after a month of playing today.
Try going into your BIOS and either manually put your RAM spread on auto or manually lower it until the game works.
