I used a VPN I was already subscribed to in response to this thread:

I had the same exact issue as you; endlessly trying to get the match list and attempting x of 9 over and over. I connected to my PIA VPN and BOOM, first try, the second I left clicked to continue.
I had to put my VPN to port 53 for some reason though because it wouldn't connect, which is only a recent thing since I hadn't used it on my PC since upgrading to windows 10 a few weeks back.
Some other things I tried:
-Disabling all NAT connections (usually under LAN in router settings)
-Port Forwarding all recommended ports by EA
-Port Triggering
-Simplifying my physical connection (one router instead of two daisy chained)
-Reboot routers
-Factory reset one router
-Reboot modem
Only thing that worked was the VPN. Hope this helps others.
