Apex Legends won't launch - 0x8000001 - Tried everything

My Apex Legends on Steam crashes instantly after launching.
I get error code: 0x8000001. No window shows, no loading screen, nothing.
I’ve already tried everything I could find online:

– Verified game files
– Fully reinstalled Apex
– Deleted EasyAntiCheat folder and reinstalled it
– Used EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe (admin mode)
– Downloaded newest EAC installer from Epic Games
– Disabled antivirus and Windows Defender
– Installed Visual C++ redistributables again
– Ran sfc /scannow
– Disabled Hyper-V and WSL
– Ran r5apex.exe as admin
– Tried clean boot
– Windows is fully up to date

None of this worked. The game just dies right after I press play.
There’s no error box, nothing in Event Viewer either.

Please help. If anyone has fixed this, I would seriously appreciate it.
