Apex Legends/EAC Fails to Launch Since 6 May (S21)

I have installed Apex Legends on both Steam and the EA App, both experience the same problem. After uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, ensuring all drivers and updates are current, disabling firewalls, running as administrator, safe booting, writing a .bat file to launch the .exe a particular way, setting CNG Keys to automatic, I believe I have narrowed down the issue.

When reviewing the EAC service log and anticheatlauncher log, it appears that EAC is failing and/or experiencing a launch loop that prevents it from successfully booting. I have attached the logs for review. TL;DR, I receive the following error in the launcher:

[20:38:25:991] [Windows] [EAC Launcher] [Err!] Fatal error, game process handle: 0000000000000888, exit code: 3221226505.

The service log shows the following entries:

[EAC Setup] [21460] [20:34:46:338] [Info] Process started, running as admin: true.
[EAC Setup] [21460] [20:34:46:339] [Info] Started with 'install 5dcd88f4e2094a698ebffa43438edc33'.
[EAC Setup] [21460] [20:34:46:339] [Info] Argument handling done, requested action: 1.
[EAC Setup] [21460] [20:34:46:342] [Info] ProductId already marked as installed, no action needed.
[EAC Setup] [21460] [20:34:46:349] [Info] Operation 1 completed successfully.

Previous entries in the service log showed blank values in the second line on occasion, along with the second line reading "Started with 'uninstall' and the product ID. That seems to have been resolved with the introduction of a boot command in the file.

Looking to have this elevated to Respawn or an Easy Anti Cheat rep- I believe having access to a repairable version of EAC could fix my issue, or an independent download for Apex Legends. Advice welcome, thank you.

  • @Pallinaahka Just wanted to get back here incase someone else is having same issues.Rebooting my router/modem did not work but It was my Linksys wifi adapter... Found the info from another post. I unplugged it and the game launched. What can I say? wtf?
  • I solved the issue by connecting my PC to my router via ethernet. Playing over Wifi was leading to the issue and connecting solved it. This was over Summer and worked until I stopped playing Apex in September or so.
