Look at this post -> https://dotesports.com/apex-legends/news/pc-players-report-issue-with-antivirus-software-detecting-malware-in-apex-legends-files
A user said: "“My avast removed the r5apex.exe and the game wasn’t launching”, maybe this is your problem as well.
When exactly the game crashes with the r5apex.exe error?
But maybe there is a bigger problem with your ssd right now.
You can try this ->
Ways To Repair Bad Sectors
To repair the bad sectors using the inbuilt tools might be the most effective way to deal with bad sectors on hard drives.
Method #1 To Fix Bad Sectors on Windows 10/8:
- Click on the This PC option and right-click on the drive that you suspect is affected.
- Now select Properties.
- Now click on the Tools tab and select the Check button.

Hey guys,
its fixed now...
I did what he said in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJcw_M5NJsY
and i also un-installed all of my visual c++, removed origin and apex, rebooted my computer, then installed origin and apex.
Apex is running now and it installed the needed visual c++... i didnt load anything for it.
I dont know what of this two solutions worked, but its working now for me 🙂
Im so glad :D
Thank a lot for that support and help, i hope maybe someone can profit too from this thread.
