Are they working on the xbox game chat or....?

I am aware of EA disabling all Xbox players game chats, but I am confused on why its taking so long to enable them? Apex legends is a game of team work and working together, how am I ( or the thousands of other Xbox players ) suppose to do this if we cannot communicate with the rest of apex? I get that it needs to be worked out, but why is there no update on this? Xbox players are at least a third of the community, there should be more transparency with this issue. Can anyone from EA enlighten me on whats going on?
