Some things that can help PS4 users are the following below:
- Power Cycle
- Touch the power button on the front of the PS4 for at least 7 seconds (until the system beeps twice).
- Turn it back on after 1 minute. Launch the game.
- Try turning off the "Convert Incoming Voice to Chat Text" in the Audio tab under settings.
- Reinstall the game.
- Check your speaker/headphone settings and try using a different audio option.
I tired these steps didn't work at all. Spoke to another person told them about it and there absolutely clueless they basically just told me to change headsets and uninstall the game and reinstall it. I got awful internet takes me about 12ish to reinstall this game. it's been happening for me and my friends alot more often, I've had this issue over the past month.

Those steps can help alleviate some of the sound issues in game, however if you're still hearing them don't worry the Apex Legends team is working on them. Sorry for any negative impact it might be having on you in game.
AUDIO KNOWN ISSUES
Issues we are aware of and currently looking into:
-
Audio dropouts, where sounds or parts of sounds in the game seem to be missing at times.
-
Audio distortion, where there is loud static or mangled-sounding audio that plays, generally during large gunfights and/or heavy concentrations of players.
-
Close enemy footsteps being too quiet, or silent, in some situations.
