@GodOrestes I play a multitude of online multiplayer games but Apex is by far the game with the most problems/server issues for me.Apex is the only game that has me regularly testing my internet speed, carry out internet connection tests on my PS5,PS4 & Xbox One before even attempting to play the game.This is all before on the Apex menu that tells me the lowest Data Center ping in my location (London) is over 100ms & packet loss is just a bonus.But even if data centers are low it's in game problems that's the killer when lag spikes, screen freezing rubber banding are frequent occurance particularly when enemies are on the screen.And why is it a pretty much guarantee that with every Apex Event only adds to the performance issues the game has.
hello guys, i had the exact same issue, arena was playable for me but br ping is always between 500-1000 ping so what i did is i switched from steam to origin and now my ping is normal and br mode is playable again, i think there is a problem with the steam port and its causing high ping.
try installing the origin version
- @g1g2_mozo Being a console player I'm not on Origin or Steam & still suffer from the same high ping scenario as yourself so I don't think the problem/or problems are exclusively on one system or even one console or PC.It seems that the probelems/issues are multi-faceted rather than just one big problem.Another commentor had a great point when they mentioned how much bigger the game has become compared to the first few seasons (more characters,bigger maps,more events etc) & yet the game is still operating under the same game & server limitations & is effectively buckling at the seams).The introduction of cross-play in season 6 has also brought it's issues as for example where a player with a high-spec PC on a 200hz monitor can be playing against a player on a PS4 with a 50hz tv etc effectively everyone can be playing with different capabities & limitations with no optimal level playing field.
It's certainly the same for me with regards to playing Arenas where performance issues are less problematic & trouble-free compared to BR mode. - @g1g2_mozo Ported to origin, still same problem.
