Can’t get past title screen

Hello, hoping somebody can help with this. When I load up apex legends it almost never lets me past the title screen. It will display that message in the photo after “initializing” for quite some time. In the past it wouldn’t even initialize, and just give me a black screen. It is rare I am able to get past this, it has persisted through updates. The only thing I can think of is that my roommate also plays the game, I am on wired he is on wireless, and I thought maybe the game had a problem with 2 accounts on the same IP address. I have tried resetting, restarting, unplugging, uninstalling, updating, and many other basic troubleshooting steps. Please help
