Can’t unlink my old EA account

I had a problem that has been bothering me for months. I’ve been playing Apex legends for years and everything has been going great until they’ve asked to reset the password on my EA account. The email on the account it’s an old email that I don’t have access to because of inactivity and it cannot be reopened in AOL. I have contacted EA to try to recover the account but the info I have available doesn’t match with what’s in the account.  I can’t even reset the game and create a new account since it doesn’t let me unlink the old account. At this point I don’t care for the old account I just want to create a new account be able to play on my console. Even after getting the PS5 I downloaded the Apex version for ps5 it keeps asking to reset the password for that email that I don’t have anymore. It’s all very frustrating. Is there anything that can be done about this ?

  • @LosDanger Did you ever get a solution?
My kid used to play on my ps4 accounts, asked me to play online the other day, EA is sending me in circles. My kid is frustrated AHHHHH
  • If you ask me this is absolutely ridiculous I just bought the game and it turns out I have an old account that happily takes my steam data to run games there the only hope left is if only this game can be run offline without a launcher

  • No solution. Tried with EA many times even showed proof of what I paid for and on the dates. It doesn’t matter to them. All info has match. DOB, IP address you used to play on, purchases receipts, etc.

  • Wow - same situation this is so stupid. Really despise EA. Unbelievable they cant force unlink an account.

  • No resolution. I even went back at my purchase history and provided it to EA and still wasn’t enough. I moved multiple times since the account inception so IP addresses I provided weren’t good. Can’t even disconnect the account from my PSN account. So I will never play apex on my console. You will have to creat a different PSN account and download the game in order to be able to play on the console. If you can’t provide the information EA needs then you are out of luck consider yourself scammed from EA.
