Unfortunately all of these steps did not solve the issue ☹️
Which data center are you connecting to at the start?
What sort of connection are you using on your PC, wired or wireless?

It automatically connects to Iowa GCE 1 through 4. I have tried Salt Lake, Dallas, and Oregon. I am on a wired PC and I have restarted the modem, restarted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Apex. But it will not let me as a solo player enter a game. It is an endless match making screen and the numbers waiting in the que do change repeatedly.

This has been happening to me since Friday and is really REALLY messing up the way I normally play.
I have a post in the bug reports about this very issue here: Never-ending queuing with fill teammates unchecked
There's at least one PS4 player experiencing something similar as well.
I've already confirmed that -for me- this is something outside of standard connectivity issues. I tried different regions (first thing I did when I couldn't get into a game). I tried on my desktop and my laptop, along with a round of verifying the game files in origin.
The real kicker is this though: my two kids have their own Apex Legends accounts, I can log out of origin and log in as one of them and everything works FINE - they can uncheck "fill teammates" and get into a game with no problem. If I log back into my account the problem returns. The fact that other origin accounts on the same computer/install aren't seeing the problem should eliminate most user-side sources of the issue (install corruption, driver issues, network connectivity issues etc).
It works consistently on some accounts. It's completely broken on another. I still can't figure out what the difference actually is.- EA_Mako4 years ago

Thanks for the additional details @Psycho_Karaoke! Definitely strange that this appears to be specific to certain accounts.
Just poking into this a bit more from that angle, it does appear we're looking into some additional reports regarding the no-fill option not allowing proper matchmaking.
That may indeed be contributing to this situation so if we have further updates I'll be sure to share.
- 4 years ago@EA_Mako I'm having the same issue this is going around for years now and nothing ever changed ....

I fixed it !
I gave my internet provider a call told them about this and got a new router (from technicolor to arris).
since i've got the new device thisx problem never reoccoured!
Most of the time it's the type of router that blocks you from matchmaking apparently- 4 years ago
@DarkRydaa that.... is not even remotely accurate. Your type of internet, device, router, or whatever else you decide to add/change is not going to stop you from matchmaking ONLY IF YOU QUEUE SOLO but allow squad fill just fine..... DNS, ip conflicts, firewall settings, connection settings could stop you from being able to connect altogether, but in no way can differentiate between IN game settings.
