Apex is crashing after clicking continue

My apex keeps closing itself after I click continue. The load icon will do one cycle, then my mouse disappears, and the game closes. I've only gotten one crash report, but it did not give me an error code. It just recently started doing this. I've uninstalled the game 3 times, even changed the site I was using to see if it was an issue with Steam, and it crashes no matter if I use Steam or the EA app. All my drivers are up to date. I even went back a driver update to see if that was the cause, and still no fix.

its doing that to me too. What type of gpu do you have? I have a ASRock Intel Arc B580.

  • I am 99.9% sure this only happens to Amd and Intel gpus. Same problem here tried everything no fix

    Hi That1Snack ,

Sorry to hear you’re running into this.

Since it’s crashing right after clicking Continue, and you’ve already tested both Steam and the EA app, reinstalled the game, and checked drivers, could you let us know what GPU you’re using?

If you happen to see another crash report, error code, or can share a DxDiag report, that may also help narrow things down a bit further.

Thanks for taking the time to list what you’ve already tried.

    Hey Salmon

I am not the OP, but I have the same problem. I load into the lobby from the login screen, and the game freezes indefinitely. It does not crash  it just stays frozen forever.

I noticed that almost everyone experiencing this issue is using an AMD graphics card. I am currently on driver version 25.10.2, but the driver version does not seem to matter. I tested the newest AMD drivers and even ones from 2020, and the issue still happens.

The freezing started right after the recent anti-cheat patch.

    Hi there,

Thanks for sharing the details, and sorry to hear you’re still running into this.

Looking over the DxDiag, this does seem more likely to be tied to the graphics/driver side than to weak hardware. In your case, the report points to an Intel Arc A750 setup, and the crash appears to be happening in the graphics driver path when Apex tries to continue into the lobby.

A few things would be worth trying next if you haven’t already:

    • Do a clean reinstall of the Intel Arc graphics driver.
    • If you’re already on the latest driver, try rolling back to an earlier stable version and test again.
    • Temporarily disable overlays, capture tools, and similar background software before launching the game.
    • Try a clean boot / minimal background startup test if possible.

Thanks again for uploading the DxDiag and listing what you’ve already tried. That helps narrow it down quite a bit.

    Hi, Htgzthtth,

Due to some personal reasons, there was a recent leave of absence, so replies were delayed. Has this issue improved at all after the recent update? Also, have the steps shared earlier been tried?

    Thanks for the reply.
