Can't get past initial loading screen

Hello, I installed Apex on my pc through Steam and have been trying to play it but I can't get past the initial load screen (where it says Apex Legends Overclocked on a pink background with the white spinning circle and has 2 characters on it). 

I have tried checking my firewall settings, launching directly from the exe, uninstalling/reinstalling, verifying files, going offline and back online, restarting my pc and making sure there's no usb devices connected and still nothing. 

I was really looking forward to playing it and don't understand why it won't work.
