Your fix for everyone's problem is all that... LMFAO
Seriously if you except people that are having issues, to follow through with all that.
You seriously just lost a player.
You need to fix your stuff, not us.
This very reason right here, and a lot more reasons are why I will never play games like fortnite or the like.

I do agree.
It's very nice to copy paste all the workaround found on the different topics of this forum, but come on.
It's up to you to provide a game which can run without crashing, if you match the minimum requirements, you should be able to play the game. End of the story. This is a shame, as many famous Youtubers are also reporting the issue. And spending well earned money on expensive computers parts, or Console to be able to play a game should be sufficient. I don't see anybody with a i9 and a 2080Ti will drop his settings to 720p, without overclocking anything, just to play your F2P.
I will say it once more, it's very a shame, the game is fun and very enjoyable, and you have great customization options.
I do think you would people will very not mind buying in game skins.
Please provide a fix, via patch or update of the game, instead of asking us to find workaround.
Hope this is resolved soon, otherwise i think me, and a bunch of other players will leave the game definitely.
Would be sad to see the game go down only one week after release.- OhOkYeah7 years agoSeasoned Rookie
They are clearly working on it. Be happy that blueberry has made a sticky post about it and made it clear that they have acknowledged the problem. The thing is, that the problem is occurring across multiple platforms, and for PC users with a large variety of hardware. So it can actually help the devs a lot if the community works on it themselves and narrow down the possibility of things that don't work, which can help point them in the direction of where the problem is occurring so they can develop a fix faster than if they do everything from scratch by themselves.

Roll back your GPU drivers to 417.71 (JAN 30 or 31 I think). I updated my GPU to the same drivers on the same card, and started crashing. Rolled back, have no more crashing. Good luck on your endeavors.

The current issues have nothing to do with drivers and if you would just simply read what has been "stated" on this form you would realise this.
Drivers have noting to do with Illegal Instruction errors, please would the lot of you read my response before you post your "one off" solution!

Lol fortnite? If that crashes for you, it IS your hardware.

CM edit, the link should work fine now, thanks.
- 7 years agowell, the game is amazing, but a clean install is not worth it.. the developers should fix this problem, because thousands of people suffer from these crashes.

Game keeps crashing randomly for me on PC. No error. I can't play with my friends because of this!
If you crash without any error code, this worked for me:
I tried everything for days, nothing worked BUT THIS (for me at least):
i5 6400, RX580, 8GB RAM, Windows 10. I think the problem is related to some fps stuff. Maybe (just maybe) the game tries to communicate with the GPU but something goes wrong, the game freeze and then shut itself. So, to avoid this problem, I did this.IN WINDOWS: Update your drivers;
IN ORIGIN: Adding the +fps_max 90 for command line argument (click on GEAR > Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options);IN GAME: Enable adaptive resolution and FPS target to 90, disable V-sync.
No chill, no fps target from GPU.
Game automatically turns down the resolution to get to 90 fps fixed. It looks a little blurry sometimes but IT'S NOT CRASHING ANYMORE. I played 5 hours in a row without problem, then tried to lower fps target to 80. Game crashed. Seems that 90 is my answer.
I repeat: IT WORKED FOR ME, it's not the ultimate solution (probably) but I hope it'll work for some of you too.
- 7 years agothey are, it takes alot of time to actually pinpoint the problem for everyone or if there are multiple problems. This is just what you COULD do to try help
- 7 years ago
Now I understand I've posted this quite a lot. But quite a bit of people from the community had talked to me and replied saying that this was an actual "FIX" for their random crashing. Only about 2 people so far THAT I KNOW OF, tried this fix and still didn't not work. So I'm suggesting everyone else to try out these fixes.
edit : Please BUMP so others can know about this !

I've tried all the things on that list on my PC and still getting 'memory could not be read' errors.
Other games such as Overwatch and CS:GO run fine on my PC, yet Apex just crashes, why?
- 7 years agoI've had 0 issues with this game.
I'm on PC (Ryzen 5 2600X/Vega 64) and PS4.
But I'm also work in network security, and am a network engineer.- 7 years ago
AMD user here suffering crashes every game with Apex Legends Engine Error - 0x887A0006 - "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG". I tried a variety of things at the same time and it's now stable (but I'm not sure what specifically fixed it).
Add +max_fps 80 to launch options
And this resolve for me no more crashes.😃

Had zero issues with a 1070. Have issues with a 2060.
Yeah Ive built my own pcs since the late 80's, coded and built networks and guess what, all of that doesnt mean * about these crashes. You are just lucky your particular set of hardware parts isnt affected. Ive done everything one can think of, no other game or software has any issues at all, (including the piece of * Anthem game Ive been playing instead) just this one.
I crash 3 games in a row, at the start of the game or after 20 minutes, completely random, or, once every 8 games or so, the only constant is this particular game does crash. The error explicitly says "failed due to bad commands sent by the application. This is an design time issue that should be investigated and fixed".

Yeah that troubleshooting list for PC is beyond insane. Nobody should have to do all that.
Because you cannot solve a problem by your self? Cant you do a little bit of research to try and find some way the problem that YOU'RE having or does everyone need to do every thing for you?
I am doing a "little bit of research" and all I find out is that hundreds and thousands of people are having crashes after last patch. Few of them from before. There goes "problem you are having". Please, add something that actually helps.
