Cross platform is on Apex

I play on ps5 and my friend plays on Xbox series x. Usually we play together, but out of nowhere we couldn't play anymore. We were friended, but we cant see each other on the friend list. We have tried everything, from unfriended and friending back, to deleting the game, and switching network settings. All of our in game settings check in as well, like the cross platform settings. Ive tried all other little things, like trying to join a private match and friending him from the "last played squad" thing. NOTHING IS WORKING.  Pleaaassseeeeee help ea.
