constant high ping on certain matches, from beginning until the end of the match

yesterday i played 3 arena matches and got constant 200ms ping from beginning until the end of the match. i switched to firing range and non-ranked matches and i got 30-50ms ping.
this kind of ping issue seems like i accidentally matched to another server region. i usually pick the closest server available, which is the singapore server.

i tried speed test on speedtest.net and ping test on meter.net, and the results from it indicates that i don't have any issue from my isp.

oh, and this kind of ping is different from ping spikes i got which occurs randomly and it seems like the ping spikes issue got solved by switching my router channel to less populated one.

    Hey, Legend.

Speedtest.net will test your speed to your ISP, however it doesn't showcase the speed or connection quality to our servers. There could be a hiccup in the connection there. Did you try power cycling your network to see if that brings down the ping for you? It's possible you could have been matched up on different servers I suppose, but perhaps it can be fixable with a simple restart of the network.

Let me know if that helps out. Thanks for letting us know what you're experiencing in arena matches. Hope you're enjoying them outside of the lag.

    hi ea_blueberry.

i restarted my network and contacted my ISP's customer support earlier, and they said there's nothing wrong with my connection. theys also said that my Rx optical power is in normal condition ranged around -23.76 dBm.

i also bought lan cable and switched from wifi to wired connection. turns out not only i experiencing high ping on arenas, but also on unranked battle royale, ranked battle royale, and also firing range matches.
here's some footage when i'm testing connection between the game and some websites: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8wpQ2xJdFY

and as you can see from my next video, entering a new firing range match somehow fixed the high ping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLkwA7PzSU4

and here's a sample when i'm getting constant 200 ping for the entire match: https://youtu.be/e3Nx5kTElno

    Hey, @Valkreyn

I wasn't able to catch your message before I took off for the weekend. What type of anti-virus system do you run and have you added Apex Legends to it as an exception?

I'm sure you've done it, but have to check. Have you tried re-installing the client and game to see if there are any improvements?
