Cross progression anxiety/help

well i think im screwed. I started playing Apex on console then switched to PC late 2021, however my brother kept playing on my PS4 account as he didnt have a good enough PC to run the game and it was the only way we could play duos or trios. He bought BPs, heroes, cosmetics etc on his own and so did I, we have different skills (he claps). He finally bought a PC to play the game from scratch, hoping that one day CrossProg would happen....Now that cross progression has finally been announced we are super worried my PC account is gonna gobble up all of his PS4 cosmetics since they both are linked to my EA account. I cant unlink the PSN account from EA to link it to my brother´s because it says that everything will be deleted since progression its tied to EA not PSN. All reports on how its gonna work are conflicting, hopefully EA help can sort this out or respawn has thaught of this. We are expecting it would be as simple as when GTA online did the crossplatform transfer, but now we are scared lol

    Your progress and cosmetics would be tied to the EA account where they were initially unlocked.

    Unfortunately, this means that if other people had access to your account and had progressed on a platform connected to it (in this case PS4), that progress would also be tied to your EA account.

    I'm afraid we'll be unable to assist in these situations as we do not support account sharing and would not be able to transfer progress from one EA account to another, sorry.

  • @El_Mr_T I've only been able to read the same info as you, but from what I understand, you are correct. Since your brother played Apex on your PSN account, and not his own, that Apex account is tied to your EA account. From what I'm understanding, if you accept cross progression, it will combine your PC and PS accounts into one, because that is your PSN account. If he would have played on his own PSN account, then his cosmetics would be linked to his own EA account. Hopefully the full patch notes will explain it in more detail, but I'm not sure if there will be any workaround for your particular situation, given that everything was accrued on, technically, your own account. Hopefully we are both mistaken, for your sake!

  • Hmmm I understand, even if we sort out a list of some cosmetics the PSN account holds wouldnt it be possible to transfer, or in this case grant,  just the skins to the new account? So we can later unlink it so it doesnt duplicate on my PC account and thus doesnt "clone items". I just feel really bummed about it, skins and cosmetics, hell we can live with loosing the 1000 coins and other credits or so the old psn account has. But theres season 0 trough 8 stuff that really doesnt "belong" to me

    Hey @El_Mr_T,

    Afraid not, sorry. Per our User Agreement we do not allow account sharing, and It's not possible to transfer cosmetics from one account to another outside of what the upcoming Cross Progression will migrate.

    I can definitely understand you don't feel as though that older stuff is earned as it was unlocked by your brother, but since it was all done on this account, that's the place it will be accessible.

  • i understand, what about all duplicated items, will the be converted in crafting materials?? cause from season 15 to 18 all battlepasses are completed on both accounts. What about progress on the guaranteed heirloom? between both accounts its already pass the treshold of 500 apex packs. Would that also be reset??

    The duplicate item portion is addressed in the blog here. No crafting materials as a result of duplicates either, sorry.

    I have duplicate content on multiple profiles. Will I be refunded for this?

    Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for content acquired multiple times. The content will not appear twice in your inventory.

    Your heirloom timer will not reset, and will instead carry over from your highest level account.

  • Well this is sad.

    My son log ago started playing apex on our ps4 and now ps5. With the account that was my ps account. So it linked it to my ea account. This was back when apex launched.

    In season 4 I started playing on the pc. When initial cross progress started. And it tied to the same account.

    Now we are both 600+ with multiple heirlooms on each account differently. And stats.

    This will mess up both our accounts since it says forced to combine. I want to keep them seperate

  • This is so poor EA.

    I have my PS5 and Xbox account linked to on EA account as I was collecting the different console exclusives and playing on both before there was cross play so I could play with different friends.

    Now you are telling me that I will lose one account??????

    I paid money on both accounts! 

    Xbox founders pack! PAID MONEY!

    Heirlooms! PAID MONEY! I have Wraiths on BOTH!!! PAID MONEY!!!!

    This isnt good enough EA.

    This should not be mandatory. I set the accounts up BEFORE there was cross play.

    YOU NEED TO CHANGE THIS!

  • Hey none of my currency is loading or i cant change my gun go to battlepass ect and i dont know what to do plz help im re dowloaded it and retated my consle plz
