I’ve had plans of building a PC soon, and seeing that cross progression will be a slow rollout thing, will I have to wait till a certain date to login to my EA account to use my Xbox account on PC, or will it be ready to play on launch day of Season 19?

P.S. Plans to have the PC by black friday, and also Xbox is my only Apex platform

I'm in the same situation; my main account is on PlayStation, and I've played a few matches on Switch; I'm currently building my PC. Reading developer quotes, I hope they fulfill the promise of "one account" and I can install the Xbox and Steam versions to resume my PlayStation progress.
The note of "to prevent exploitation, any secondary Apex Legends accounts created after Oct 26th for the same EA account, will not be eligible to be merged" concerned me; does that mean that if I started playing on Steam after the merge I'd start anew?? Or does that just mean that if I start playing on PC or Xbox between now and the merge, items I earn on the new platforms won't merge but I'll still get my PlayStation and Switch stuff to replace them?
Hoping someone from EA clarifies.

As this is rolling out to players over time, we can't guarantee which players may see this pop-up day 1, and which may see it in the coming days after the season launch. You'll see the pop-up in-game letting you know of the merge process when this happens for your account however, so be sure to keep an eye out for that.
Even if you're not adding a PC account until later, you'll still be able to make use of Cross Progression and access the non-platform exclusive content you had unlocked on your Xbox as long as this is connected to the same EA account.
Same thing would apply in your case! 🙂
As long as your PlayStation and Switch accounts are connected to the same EA account, and you connect any future Xbox/Steam accounts to the same EA account, you'll be able to make use of Cross Progression.
The account creation date situation you've mentioned will just result in the latter scenario.
For example, if you set up a new Steam account after October 26th, you'll still be able to connect that Steam account assuming the EA account is eligible (has not had a different Steam account linked in the past). If you had already connected your PlayStation and Switch accounts, you'd be able to access that content when playing on Steam as well.

@EA_MakoThank you for the excellent and comprehensive response! Very much looking forward to continuing my PlayStation progress on other platforms. I checked last night and found out that my Steam account was not connected to my EA account, so I alleviated that. Hoping I'll still be able to continue my PlayStation progress on PC once I have that set up; otherwise, I'll be happy to reach out to EA support if something goes wrong.
