Cross-progression overwritten to lower level.

I originally played on ps4 and was planning to move to pc with the cross progression,
The pc level was overwritten by a lower one, and the ps4 account's
items I had paid for, character release status, etc,
The entire data was lost.

The ps4 account has about 500+200 levels and the pc account has about 90 levels.
The steam and ps4 accounts were already linked to the same EA account.

I have been waiting for over 2 months now,
I have been waiting for over 2 months now, and when I contacted EAHelp, they only told me to wait and I am not sure if I will get my data back.
(I was informed that this is a bug and that I should write to the community about it.)

Please respond as soon as possible.

    Hey @miren_tsukiyami.

Apologies for the concern with this situation. Looking over what happened here however, I'm afraid this is not a bug.

Your progress is stored at the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation or Steam. If you unlink a platform from the EA account and link it to a different account, that progress does not transfer. It looks like that is what happened in this case.

Your PSN account was linked to this EA account shortly after our Cross Progression announcement last year, which means that the progress you made there was on a different EA account. That cannot be merged or transferred from one EA account to another, so if you're trying to restore that progress you will need to re-link your PSN account to the prior EA account.

We have some additional information about this particular situation in our blog and guides below, but if you have any issues re-linking your accounts please reach back out to support so they can help get your PSN account back to its original EA account.

  • Thanks for the reply.

The PSN was deactivated once and linked to another account, then the level reset happened, so we put it back to the original account.
Once I deactivated it and linked it to another account, it was level 1, so I reconnected it to the account it was originally linked to and confirmed the level was back.

I then linked my Steam account to it, and it is now overwritten with the lower Steam level.
