Engine Error
(10.904) Unknown file Version (audio\ship\general_english.mstr)
Im getting the error just after the Respawn studios screen
I right clicked Apex in the origin launcher and hit repair and it fixed my issue.
lmao did that and it started to download the game again from 0 ..-.- getting bored at this game already tried to download this game for 5 hours no lie. first errors was when downloading the game it downloaded to 80-89% fine but when it hitted to the 90-100% it disconnect me from internet then comes back in and starts downloading again at 36% with not any error message :_) and finally when i get it downloaded fully with no problems it gives this error (10.904) Unknown file Version (audio\ship\general_english.mstr) f cking great 🙂
- now it happened again guess i will not play this game ^-^ btw happened again from 100% to 36
* hell I am in the same boat. Installed the game no issues. But when I try to play i get errors each time:
"unknown file version audio\ship\general_english.mstr"
"unknown file version paks\win64\pc_all.starpak"
"unknown file version paks\win64\pc_all.opt.starpak"
I have tried deleting these files and repairing the game, updating the game, I have even done a fresh install this morning on a different hard drive and still the same thing happens. This is just stupid as I have no issues running any other game!
Guess I wont be playing this one with my friends after all.

It is fixed by downloading the game from the origin library.
When this is done, go again to the origin library and click on play now.
It will now download an update of 700mb.
Once this is done the game works 🙂
