@Sazabi888 This might be an ugly workaround, but it could do the trick.
Launch Apex and configure the settings to your liking, now, before closing Apex, change the config.cfg file to be readonly. This should prevent other applications from overwriting it.
You could also check your steam launch options for Apex. Make sure you're not executing some other config file or something like that.

@Godisbullen Thanks for the help and replies Tried that too unfortunately. So even if you lock the profile.cfg. it just switches back to default. So if you reload again it doesn't read the setting. Weird. 😟

@Sazabi888I've got one more thing you can try.
deleting the file "video_settings_saved_quit" in the folder of the game :" C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\cfg"
