Disconnects from character screen 5 times a day

Hi

I am getting  tired of this random disconnects and crashes (on rare occasions).

I get in to the loading screen while picking the champion i want to play, but its just a black screen and then i get ported back too lobby.  I have tried troubleshoots but nothing works and i can see that im not alone with these issues.. my friends have them aswell with different connection options wifi or lan doesnt matter.

Ive played since this game released and its been problems with your connectivity both on pc and consoles, so... when is this going too get fixed because its damn annoying in dia2 where its super hard already 3v3 against predators at top 100 joining in.

This is on ps4

I also had crashing issues on pc but early on ps4.

I have contacted ea 4 times already, but I guess respawn doesnt know how to fix these issues since they always come back.

    Hey @CptSnefot

I know that dealing with disconnections can definitely be frustrating. What sort of troubleshooting steps have you been able to try so far since this started happening?

    Got it, thanks!

Can we try changing your PS4 to a different DNS to see if that helps? The DNS is the address book your console would be using to connect to destinations on the internet. Using a different DNS can help out with some connection issues.

To update your DNS follow the steps below:

    1. Open up the Settings on your PS4, then go to Network. From there go to Set Up Internet Connection, and select either WiFi or LAN cable depending on what you're using.
    2. Select Custom > IP Address Settings (Automatic) > DHCP Host Name (Do Not Use) > DNS Settings (Manual)
    3. Enter the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4 -- This is the public Google DNS.
    4. Select Next > MTU Settings (Automatic) > Proxy Server (Do Not Use) > Test Internet Connection

Let me know how that goes when you can.

    Gotcha.

We've been tracking some performance issues in Apex Legends since the season 4 update. The issues you've been seeing may be related to that. The Apex Legends team is currently investigating this, but I'm afraid we don't have any details on when it might be resolved.

Thanks for sticking with us while this is under investigation.

    /Kent
