dual monitor mouse bug... please EA fix this already..

hey... this is an HUGE issue thats going on for months now... there are several topics about this problem already and its really frustrating.

If you have more than 1 Monitor ( 3 in my case ) you can mouse over to the next monitor and you tap out of the game.

You can click everything in the main menu and you can find a game but as soon as you move your mouse you getting taped out to the desktop.

Im a streamer and theres a reason why i bought 2 extra monitors.

I never had a problem like this, but i reinstalled my Windows today and now the bug accured to me aswell.

Its only for Origin games.. PLEASeeeeeeeeeee help me im really down

  • I've literally been having the same exact issues for months and I use 2 monitors. Anytime I'm in borderless windowed or Fullscreen for display, if im lobby the mouse cursor is all good.

This is what happens to me:

    1. Choose game type, ready up and start loading into character select (mouse cursor on screen, when normally it disappears)

    2. Character selection screen is up and choosing person(cursor is on screen to allow selection)

    3. Character selection is over and shows team in pre-game screen(mouse cursor STILL on screen when should be GONE BY NOW)

    4. On ship about to jump and using mouse to look at map for where to jump(mouse cursor STILL ON SCREEN when it should ONLY be showing the white dot for where camera is looking)

    5. Jump from ship and looking around(cursor still there....you see the pattern here EA/Respawn -_-)

    6. Try to click the mouse while looking around/shooting, the cursor will move out of game window to other monitor. I've made another post on this months ago and had a video uploaded hoping that the issue would have been resolved after sending out patching updates...buttttttt here we are.

Not sure if it's just because of a dual monitor setup, video card or something in game but i literally havent been able to play this since the summer and its really unfortunate as i happen to like this game alot. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE, I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS...My GPU is an AMD R9 290 and playing 100% fine with other games and worked super well until an update over the summer.

  • Heyyy!! Check out this fix and see if this helps with your dual monitor issue!!! I just tried it after having the same issue and it works great!!!

Open origin, click My Game Library, right click Apex, click Game Properties, uncheck "Enable Origin in Game for Apex Legends"

This was from MacBCBL, he posted it in his thread and it worked!!!

Hey thanks for your answer! I tried that out but it doesnt help me :/

Im using a gtx 1080ti and iv connected all my monitors to my gpu. Before i reinstalled my windows everything was fine.. this must be a new bug because it happens to alot of people who reinstalled windows .

Ive also disabled discord ingame overlay or any kind of overlay, iv closed every other programm but nothing is working here :/

I'm running Trippel monitor setup at work and dual at home and not getting this issue myself. @wtfalright  @Brownsuga20

Could everyone upload a dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you are using.

    Thanks! 🙂

  • Same here. Sad to see that this is an issue since 2019-oct and EA won't fix it.
    Shame on EA.
    Meanwhile ...
... I solved the problem with a workaround using DisplayFusion on which I created a trigger to lock the mouse in the main screen when Apex runs.
