EA Account got ban
Hello, I have been playing Apex for 4-5 years now, but when I logged in today to play I saw that my account was permanently banned. I am 90% of the time very nice to nice people, but I also accept that sometimes I get angry when I get bad teammates or my teammates are racist to me. See I am Indian and play in North American servers and whenever I try to talk in-game people make fun of me because of my accent and also call me "Stinky", usually, I ignore it but sometimes I get very annoyed and fight back. I take pride in the in-game achievements I have unlocked and have never done anything intentionally that reflects hateful conduct. I agree that there should be some punishment for the rare times I was not respectful but a permanent ban should not be my punishment. I have spent around 2000 hours in this game I take this game seriously, I achieved Masters rank in season 17 and also I have spent a decent amount of money on in-game items. Please have a look into this ban, it is affecting me emotionally and mentally. I don't have multiple accounts I only have 1 Steam account and I have invested so much into it.
Reason for Ban-> last week I was playing ranked solo que at late night. I am currently D3 and got matched with 2 golds. Games begins and the DUO ques pushes a teams and dies and starts calling me trash. I opened my mic and they started making fun of me and calling me stinky due to my Indian accent, the fight began and I typed "Shut up Tr**s Kid" in chat. As a result, I got permanently banned from all EA games.
I accept that I was not respectful but I believe a permanent ban is not the right punishment for me, I am even ready to take a year ban but this permanent ban is way too much for me reason being I love my account I have had it since I started PC gaming in 2017 (7 years). Now my whole Steam account is "not perfect" anymore.
Hey @swaggwho,
Sorry to hear you'd run into some rude and very inappropriate chat recently. That's certainly not what anyone wants to encounter when they're just trying to play.
I'd definitely make sure to report and mute those types of individuals rather than engaging with them, just to make sure you don't get pulled into any penalties as well. You can even try turning on the speech-to-text option in-game if needed, so their voice chat shows up in text and may make it easier to report as well.
If there's a situation you weren't able to report in-game at the time, you can also use the forum here to bring that to our attention, under Other options > EA Help.
With that said however, we're unable to make any changes to an account ban or suspension on the forums. You can create an appeal with the Terms of Service team here, but ultimately if something inappropriate was said from your account as well, it's unlikely that would be overturned.
Submitting an appeal above would nevertheless be the only way to have that reviewed further if you'd like to do so, feel free to give that a try if you haven't already done so.
