Every time I try to connect my EA and Xbox account it says “Your EA credentials have expired and need to be updated. Please reset your password.” I already tried resetting my password and it didn’t work. I’ve been looking stuff up about this problem for a few weeks now. I’ve only had this account for about a month and a half. Can anyone help? I’ve also been getting the “Invalid Account” thing and no videos of that helped either.

That’s the point of asking this question it won’t allow us to link our account to EA it will always say credentials expire reset password.such we already did multiple time with a day or two in between changes and the same still comes up expired credentials.

Yup i cant even use my EA account on my xbox, i had no problems, was playin apex legends, then one day it says account credentials expired, ive reset my password 3 times, no change and i login fine on pc, but for xbox i am unable to play many EA games which i paid alot for, and im infuriated, what is the point of EA makin games where the players arent even able to play

I have the exact same problem and the live reps are bad. I can get on my account, see all of my details and purchase history, and can tell them all of my xbox details but some how it isn't enough. They're sending me around in circles. At this point I've given up on EA games and will just play other stuff

I've been going through this all day, and here's what I've learned; If you can't log in using the original email that you set the account up with many, many years ago, you can answer a list of questions. Date of birth, billing address, last four of credit card on account, and two ea titles you've bought (using the locked xbox account) with their dates of purchase. I wasn't able to pass the test after several tries, probably because I used a bogus birthday just to rush through the set up. I was told by EA that I would have to change my gamertag, but I don't know if they mean literally just changing the name or opening a new Microsoft account. I think I may have to choose between not playing any ea games, or switching my xbox account and losing every other game I have owned in the last 20 years.

I solved this for myself, here is how:1. I signed into Xbox.com.2. On the account settings, I opened the Contact Preferences section3. I noticed that the contact email is not the same as the EA Login email.4. I signed into EA.com using the email address from step 3 - I had to restore access to this account, etc.5. I then signed out from the EA Desktop app, and signed back in using my Xbox account. Voila - I can play EA Play games.I hope this helps someone out there...

@Aqua_Chopper16 Hey, it looks like your posting account isn't attached to a console account, so if you're resetting the password for this account, it won't help.

You can try logging in with any other email addresses you have, and try to reset those ones.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I also contacted my old work and activated an old email address I haven't used since 2013. It says it's connected to an account, but so far I'm not getting any replies when I enter it.

I'm having the same issue. I have an EA account from YEARS ago, maybe when I played Skate 2 on xbox 360. That account has always just transferred over as I got new EA games. Even after changing my gamertag and my email for my microsoft account. I was playing EA games just fine and then all of a sudden it told me my EA credentials have expired and I need to reset my password. I ended up making a new EA account by mistake and now I just want to link my xbox account and the new EA account since that's the only account I have access to. I've communicated with EA live chat support and they were absolutely no help. I'm at a loss and don't know what to do. I have so many EA games I paid for that I'd like to be able to play that I just can't. It's incredibly frustrating.

@IonicCoalition same thing here i dont even have another ea account so i dont know why id be linked to something else and they tell me my account isnt hacked and idk what to do anymore

Same here, i called support and all they said was its a haha moment and that ive been linked to another account, and that my xbox and EA were never linked, i only have this account but when i kept tellin they just said whoops bye

same here, i gave them all my email addresses ive ever used and they still are telling me the email addresses are wrong... so now i cant even play their games.....
