EA Support Say They Tried Everything, Hope For A Community Response
Support literally has told me they can do no more and to ask the community and hope for a response, so here I am. Literally any assistance would be appreciated because I'm losing sanity at this point.
OER ID Number: 12a641cb0018537d
Windows Language: English
Location: Canada
Error message (if any): N/A
When did this start for you?: After hardware upgrade
Aproximately what % of the time does this happen? 100%
I've spent hours with support trying all sorts of fixes for this but nothing seems to change. Everytime I launch the game, my PC reboots within seconds. No blue screen, no crash message, no error, no noise, nothing. Just the respawn entertainment splash screen for a few seconds and then a blank monitor.
Aside from the suggestions from support that I've just gone through, I have so far tried:
1. Fresh windows install on m.2, only necessary drivers + apex installed through origin
2. BIOS is freshly updated (had to because of CPU, wouldn't run without it)
3. Windows has all the latest updates, optional and otherwise
4. Clean booting does not change the problem
5. Bitdefender Total Security Pro and Malwareware Bytes Free report no viruses/malware/infections
6. System files have been verified; cmd > DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
7. sfc /scannow reports no problems
8. EasyAntiCheat files were removed and reinstalled.
9. The game has been installed/reinstalled through both Steam and Origin on 2 different drives. (M.2 and SSD)
10. Visual C++ redist. has been reinstalled and confirmed running latest version.
11. my old 650W and brand new 850W PSU tried and same result with both
12. DDR4 ram was swapped into 4 2 and 1 configurations with the same result
13. used old DDR4 ram set to slower (2133 Mhz) speeds, same result
Aside from that a few things to note:
-Reinstalled Windows + NVIDIA driver for GPU as well as CPUID HWMonitor
-Installed Apex through Origin, result = reboot
-Tried different account through origin, result = reboot
-Windows Event Viewer Shows 3 critical kernel-power 41 errors and several other warnings/errors, but I can't seem to nail down a root cause for this
-graphics card may not be the problem because it works in friends build (same cpu/ram/mobo) and my old build (i7-7700k/16GB DDR4 2300MHZ) just fine
I haven't yet tried putting a different GPU in my new build, though I am currently working on that to see if it helps. Will keep this thread updated.
