EasyAntiCheat says "Waiting for Game" and never loads Apex

As in the title, when I click play the game EasyAntiCheat loads before saying "Initializing", then "Waiting for Game" before disappearing and never loading. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 5+ times. I've tried in on both steam and on EA App with the same results. Other games using EasyAntiCheat work just fine. I don't even get an error message to help figure out what's wrong. Haven't been able to play since January because of this.
