I'm trying to play Apex and when I start the game i get Error 0x8000002. I don't have any of the 3rd party apps mentioned on the other discussions, I don't have any overlays on and I've deleted the game from Steam and EA twice and reinstalled it and still nothing working... i also verified the files on steam and EA multiple times. My PC is even running better now but i still cant play.
please help :(
I have seen, read and heard that uninstalling "Daemon Tools" helps
I had the same issue not too long ago (I thought I didn't have "Daemon tools")
However sometimes "Asus" or "Armoury Crate" in my case likes to install apps like "daemon tools"
How I fixed it and got rid of it was checking and SEARCHING for "Daemon tools" in the File Explored
Checking and SEARCHING for any drivers or any sort of "Daemon tools" in the Device manager
and
Checking and SEARCHING for any lingering or residual files for "Daemon tools" in the Registry editor
