Close out any and all fortnite/epic games apps that are running then try again. Should work
I'm trying to download Apex Legends but the download stops after all the files are downloaded, giving me a window that says : "Error : The VC++ runtime redistributable package was not installed successfully. Setup cannot continue. (1603)"
Not sure what to do
Go to the installation path of the game "F:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex", then navigate to __Installer\directx\redist. Delete all .rars, BUT DON´T DELETE DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, and DXSETUP.exe.

Also, make sure you're installing through the Origin Launcher
I gave it a try, the install still got stuck at 38%. The .rar files actually re-install themselves into the redist folder after re-launching the install. The other posts tell you to uninstall c++ 2010 but I'm not sure if that's a good idea.
