Failed to start process for this game: Access is denied. (0x5) - Steam
Hi there,
I am struggling to sort this, a few days ago out of nowhere the following error message began to appear whenever I tried to open Apex, it only happens with Apex, no other games.
Failed to start process for this game: Access is denied. (0x5)
I have tried every fix I can find online for this error, with both Apex and other other games;
- Run as administrator - both steam and apex
- Uninstalled, reinstalled apex
- Turned off firewall and anti-Virus
- added apex to firewall and anti-virus whitelists
- checked permissions for apex in Windows
I tried to install Apex through the EA Desktop app, but it wouldn't even install (kept getting an error message about not being about to install Easy Anti-Cheat) so I thought it might be an easy anti-cheat issue, but my other games that use Easy don't have a problem.
I'm lost of what else I can try, is there anything I am missing here?
