Fill teammates not working

I have played Apex for 2 years straight love the game. After this installment for fill teammates I have played solo more in 2 days than I have in 2 years and yes the box is checked for fill teammates...

Anyone knows if the update fixed it? I don't see it in the patch notes...

I managed to get 5 matches in this evening before the Servers started pissing around & the fluctuating ping situation kicked in .All 5 matches were in Trio mode 4 of those matches I was with just one other player & tbh there is nothing worse than playing against endless Predator teams in matches with a player short & as a Duo in Trio mode.Mark my words it'll never be fixed (unfortunately).
