  • @wiseolddudeOh, that's weird. I don't have a clear idea, I'll have to look into this

In that time do you want to try a different GPU driver version, maybe a newer or an older one?

    Good luck.

Edit: Okay so, finding the cause of this micro stutters is hard. There are many factors which scales from GPU to the game. I'll just list you the things that might be your problem, you have to find it yourself.

    - Insufficient RAM/VRAM

    -  Unstable CPU/GPU Clocks(You said it is okay)

    - CPU overheating

    - GPU driver related issues(I recommend you to do a clean install with the help of DDU).

    - Maybe your hard drive can't catch up but I don't think that would cause a problem in that gaming moment. Still, monitor your hdd.

    - Maybe it is really Apex's problem(Repair game via Origin).

These are the things that came to my mind and make sense with your situation. I hope these will help.

    @NervousAndPotato
-I have 16gb ram and I have the 1080ti strix which has 11gb vram so that is it not.
-cpu/gpu not oc'd so thats not it either.I even disabled c-states/speedshift on the cpu to make sure nothing is limiting it too.
-Cpu temp barely reach 60c and gpu temps low 70s at worst
-Gpu driver I'm using is 436.48 DDucleaned. It's actualyl one of the best drivers I could get for my card.
-I use an SSD so there's no issues with spikes.
-I do think it's something with the game tbh as repair does generally nothing.

Like I said when it happens I usually dont notice it 90% of the time and I'm really * abotu this stuff so the normal user is more likely to not notice it.

  • I have GTX 1070

    16 gig ram

    i7-8750H

    Playing on a VG27A monitor.

Before latest update I played on resolution 1080 with low graphics to get around 150 fps.
Now it doesn't matter if I play on native (1440) or 1080, I still only get 60 fps. But if I choose borderless window I am on ~100 fps up to 120 sometimes.

I think it's really wierd that I get more fps in window mode/ borderless window than in fullscreen? :S

Doesnt matter what options I have, still only get 60 fps in fullscreen. Feels like it is capped to 60 somehow..

Should it really be like that?

Any suggestions what I should do to fix this?

@RullstolsBandit Vsync caps FPS to your monitor's hertz, check Vsync option in Video settings.

And I guess VG27A has Gsync, which is adaptive sync. You can also try to close that off.

@NervousAndPotato Yes it is turned off already.

I fixed the problem now, I turned the overclock "on" in the monitor and turned up the hz on the screen to 165. Now I suddenly have 160 fps..
I have read that people don't recommend playing with overclock on this monitor tho, because of "flickering".
