fps goes down to 30 from 90 randomly after season 5

My FPS randomly drops to 30-40 while in a match and its really frustrating. I usually get 90 fps or so and this can happen in any occasion, any help?

my specs:
gtx 1660 ti
AMD FX(tm)-8300 Eight-Core Processor

16 gb ram

this didnt happen before season 5 and it was way smoother. My fps was higher than 100.

    Hey @HamsiGobble

    Does it seem like this is happening at a certain place on the map, or is it just totally random? Have you been watching your CPU and GPU usage to see how it looks while the game is running?

  • it just happens randomly at any point on the map and no I havent  watching usage.How can i do that?

    If you open up the Task Manager in Windows (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) there's a tab there for Performance. You should be able to see your CPU and GPU usage there.

  • i did that and this happened. So i got into the game and my cpu usage was 100% while my gpu was somewhere at 60% - 70% and the stuttering happened. At that point my cpu usage was 20% percent and my gpu usage went down to 40% or something. When the stuttering went away it was back to old usage.

    what does this mean?

    @HamsiGobble

    Upgrading the CPU may make a difference if your current CPU is bottlenecking. Once you have a chance to install the new one can you let me know if you're still running into the same issue?

    /Kent

  • It might take a few days since i wont be the one doing it but I will definitely let you know.
